I hate bottled primer!!

I have purchased this Gunze Mr Surfacer 1000 bottled primer thinking it is cheaper and last longer. But thats not true. I have used it sparingly until now I used it fully to prime my Kanu. It was an sh88ty experience.

Can’t use industrial thinner, because it dried up too fast and have to use Nakamoto acetone based thinner. (Now I can ID the type of thinner by smell, I am so dead). Thinning is an chore. When come actual spraying, it took me thrice the amount of time it took me to use a spray can to get proper coverage. Being thinner when mixed with thinner, it leaves sh*t load of pin holes uncovered, which later I going to cover it up myself. It gunk my procon so easily that cleaning have to be done every single cup full and dried so fast that it make a mess and it doesn’t grip as good as Tamiya. In term of pricing, I remember 100ml spray can Gunze is more expensive than 180ml Tamiya.

Hence conclusion, bottle primer is NOT GREAT for resins, maybe good for gundams. Tamiya spray can primer is King!
