Having shot mutiple portraits shoot and the most recent TFCD shoot yesterday, I came to realise the 24-105L is nowhere deem for portraits. Although within the 85-110 portraits range, the f4 aperture make it a stop less "popping" lens than a f2.8 or less, but it make a great general photography lens. It will still be my event workhorse for times to come.

Come one day, my pro photographer friend decided to take a purge for Canon 24-70L and ditched his copy of Sigma 24-70. Enuff said, his result on the 24-70EX was stunning on par with Canon and serviced/calibrated. Above picture show the actual unit and 1/4 price of the Canon but the 82mm thread is a turn off. Decisions!!!!

50 f1.4 and 85 f1.8 are good prime for portraits but I don’t like to sneaker zoom. I am lazy. 70-200 f4 is a must get in the future but right now I have not encounter situation where I needed that tele range.
