Call it fate or what. Today was just another normal day. Was trying to learn a hair detailing but lack the tool - a V carving knife. So off to artfriend I go.
No sizes availiable for resins so off to XM with a new Xacto handle, saw blades and Ashley brush.
Main item was just a bottle of brown paint when Ah Ben big bro said a shipment have come in and spotted a huge box with 20 over kits inside. First I took interest in this one.

Took 10 months to ship, order was made on 29 Sep 2006 by a rich guy and canceled. So I reserved it until furthur notice. *Smirk at Tae* Until I dig further. I found……….

Was preping Kanu in the midst of a hot afternoon.

See the mess xD. The dremel make some jobs so much easier. Some advanced preping need a dremel as well.
Finally finished her up and took picture for a gallery. I find the lance a tad too big. Maybe some modification to the lance might make it better.

Today began with a resin stint, working 12 hours straight from 11 am to 11 pm. At 11 am, was feeling lazy. Decided to do some hand painting and ended up 5 hours dealing with Nina main feature, the head.

Few day ago, I screw up. I overspill the compressor oil. Thats ok, just an oil spill. But whats not okay is the air fitler got soaked in oil. Operation status changed to red. Dangerous to run the compressor without a filter.
After a whole day trek almost over half of Singapore, managed to get one in Jalan Besar. Its almost half-price of what I got quoted from the Bukit Merah car workshop area. Its the original K&N oil-breather whereas the previous one a chiong one. Its uses oil medium as its filter.

Holy S**t. Another poison!!
Today went on a tooling up spree. Got a dremel, a flexshaft and a keyless chunk. Artfriend, I got some brass rod and some felts for testing. Went home to check mailbox. My airbrush lube from UK have came in also.
Went back to XM to shift everything back including my Haruhi. ^_^ Ala la lala la la la I spotted ASUKA! Was tempted but resisted. Maybe after I clear my backlog.

Hello there!

On a unexpected visit to Nakamoto shop for his lengendary thinner, I asked him about gloss and matte coating. It seem for the normal gunpla modeler, trying to get a flat look and a gloss coat is a chore. Something that doent really bother a resin modeler; Flat just spray on a artist varnish, gloss just coat on a PU clear aka your car gloss with scratch resisitant and UV protection. ^^
However the steps with the gunpla way which normally people use is, 1 to 2 layer of gloss, sand and polish. Thats when I took notice of the "polish" which turns out to be Tamiya Polishing Compound. I got no idea what is that which later I found out was used for polishing. Works on every paint type.
One of the cliche that I encounter was to achieve a satin gloss. A pain in the ass surfacing. I dont want to spray another coat on the 2K black. Using gloss will have too much bling bling.

It works! Just the way I want, although a bit too way glossy. The polish was only rated FINE. I wonder what the tube rated FINISH will do. ^^ Can see my face on it I supposed.

My backlog is getting more and more. Haruhi is done and is kept at XM. Dont really have a chance to take a shoot of her. Nina is on the board progessing slowly. A lot of niche to be solve, mostly dealing with paint and coats. The next will be Kanu. Hee heee. Still my favourite is the Suiseiseki and Souseiseki.
Stil got one more kit coming in soon. Take a guess who?
As reminded this morning by Dio. Why no shoutbox. Never cross my mind. Too much CSS cluttering my head. Now here you go. I installed an Ajax pluggy
