Singapore have IT/PC show all year round with 3 month time space in between. Unlike Taiwan, where it showcase technology and such. Here it is just a computer parts bargain marketplace. The only thing I set my eyes on is the Western Digital 1TB MyBook external hard drive. For SGD $299, cheaper than an internal drive. Many peep got it only to dismantle the casing and extract the drive inside.

The first place on the list.
It seem there aren’t many people. Its only the first day. The drive got completely sold out on the third day, with the second day ending up with a long queue. Didn’t went on the last day. The place was chaotic. I sold my $299 drive for a $369 Home Edition for the firewire, USB and eSata interface. USB2.0 alone is too slow for a 1TB drive. Thankfully for the 2 days recce mission. I was able to get it from the other corner because that WD booth snaking queue is too much for me.

Price list. Its SGD. Do your conversion and you know how dirt cheap it is.

Some of the price. Don’t know how cheap it is. I don’t need it.

Seagate. One brand that I would never buy again.
Considering the seagate failure rate in my company. Enuff said. We even switched to Western Digital drive.

Surge protector
Given the frequency of a power spike. Almost to nil. It good to have one of these as an insurance. Yep I have one as well.

Overcast sky outside

Suntec city. The convention center where IT Show is held. Note it is chaotic inside.
