A big shock. Resin Casting

While at XenoHobby, I found that another batch of Haruhi is in. But ooo god the quality sucks. Bubble holes, holes and holes lots of them. Thats what happen when you cast using the same mold again and again. Compare to my first one, the detail is a lot better almost like the original. A word of advice, it is always best to buy the first release batch or second. Furthur recast cause the mold to "corrode" and out turn your kit like shit. I think its partly due to the popularity of the kit that they need to chunk out asap. Too bad today I forget my camera again. Anyway my Haruhi main bod is done and it is looking good. 85/100 marks given and the ribbons look great on her.

I think I planning to do a white version as well. O yeah forget to mention I got Nina from Mai Otome in black diamond mode.

First paycheck is IN!!!!

Bunny Haruhi Resin Updates

It has been a long while since I updated this site. I just too darm lazy. The progess of haruhi is going well. Haruhi is almost done today but I never bring a camera over. I am just covering my back log.

The final guitar version
I screw up the guitar big time. Everything was stick and fingerprint all over. Luck y Ben touched it up for me. The white is shaded for a reason. The next step is glossing, as it seem the shades under gloss will produce some effect. Which I have to gloss it to see. If not for this guitar, haruhi is long time finish.

My first To-do list

Crap. Kanna chop by urban attic because I never check the swimsuit saber whether is fake or not. But have no fear, my first to-do list is to mod the saber, sand down and touch up. Zeng my saber. Since its bootleg, I dont mind messing around with it.

The resin kit in-store for the Suzumiya Haruhi series. YUKI NAGATO!! My favourite … Instead of the usual book crunching, slient , magic dealing alien. This time it come with a out-of-character space gun, donning 2 piece of sexy space suit? As expect from the scrupter Bubba, this kit is top notch. Now it is under preorder for E2046, anyway I already asked Xenomorph to take note of this, so they may order for me.

Knowledge of paints and coats

Today I am going to discuss paints. Paint are the basis of the outcome of the resin.

Paint are generalised into 3 categories: (water-based) acrylic, enamels and lacquer. Acrylic brands includes Tamiya and Mr Hobby. Enamels includes Humbrol and Testors. Lacquer are most commonly used because they are thinner based and the end result is often must better than water acrylics.I have no experience with enamels except they are great for handbrushing, they dry slow therefore have the self leveling effect. Other type of paint which I come across are 2K paint which are automotive paints. But today I will talk about 2K paint, the rest of the paint infomation can be found here.
